What You'll Experience in Napa Valley

30 miles of vineyards, 400+ wineries, and some of the most celebrated terroir in the world.

The Region

From Carneros to Calistoga — One Valley, Many Personalities

Napa Valley stretches about 30 miles from the cooler, fog-touched Carneros region in the south to the hot springs town of Calistoga in the north. Within that span you'll find more than a dozen distinct AVAs (sub-appellations), each producing wines with a different character.

  • Oakville & Rutherford: Iconic Cabernet Sauvignon (Opus One, Mondavi, Inglenook)
  • St. Helena: Historic estates and old-vine Cabernet (Beringer, V. Sattui)
  • Calistoga: Volcanic soils, bold reds, hot springs (Castello di Amorosa, Chateau Montelena)
  • Stags Leap District: Silky, elegant Cabernet (Stag's Leap Wine Cellars, Cliff Lede)
  • Carneros: Cool-climate Pinot Noir & sparkling (Domaine Carneros, Bouchaine)

Planning Tips

Pace Yourself — 3 to 4 Wineries Is Plenty

The most common mistake is over-scheduling. Most premium wineries are by appointment only and tastings run 60 to 90 minutes. Add 20 to 30 minutes of drive time between estates, and you have a real day.

  • Book 3 to 4 wineries per 6-hour tour, 5 max for an 8-hour tour
  • Reserve tastings 2 to 4 weeks ahead (especially Opus One, Stag's Leap, Far Niente)
  • Eat lunch — at the winery, or stop in Yountville (Bouchon, Ad Hoc) or St. Helena
  • Bring a cooler if you plan to buy bottles — Napa heat is real in summer
Local tip: Tuesday through Thursday are the calmest tasting days. Weekends are beautiful but tasting rooms can be packed — book early slots (10 AM or 11 AM) to start ahead of the crowd.

Our Role

You Taste — We Drive, Time, and Navigate

The point of a chauffeured wine tour is to let you actually enjoy the wine. No designated driver duty, no parking stress, no GPS arguments. Your chauffeur knows the back roads, the lunch options, and which tasting rooms cluster well together to save time.

  • Door-to-door pickup from your hotel or residence
  • Climate-controlled black SUV, Metris VIP, or Sprinter (we recommend SUV for 2 to 6, Sprinter for groups)
  • Cooler in the vehicle for purchased bottles
  • We coordinate with each winery's reservation time
